The brewery C.& A. Veltins GmbH & Co. KG has expanded its brewing and logistical capacities at the Meschede-Grevenstein site in recent years. In order to continue to be logistically prepared for the future, various concepts were elaborated, evaluated and compared within the framework of the project.

Fraunhofer IML assisted Festool GmbH in validating a detailed distribution center planning. Within the scope of the project, the Festool concept was validated and evaluated against an IML concept variant. As a result, a detailed plan was developed jointly with Festool, which includes a hybrid concept with a clearly defined highly automated as well as highly flexible warehouse area.
