Innovationlab "Hybrid Services in Logistics"

In the Innovationlab "Hybrid Services in Logistics" we develop new and innovative technologies, which are tested in one of the many test facilities of the Fraunhofer IML and the Technical University of Dortmund. The research focuses on the Human-Technology Interaction and pursues the vision of a “Social Networked Industry” in which humans and machines will work together in the future. As part of so-called transfer projects, small and medium-sized companies have the opportunity to get an insight into research and to improve their competitiveness through innovative technologies. Together with your company, the scientists at the Innovationlab develop a suitable and innovative solution for a particular problem in the operational process.

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has been funding the interdisciplinary research project since mid-2016. The planned duration of the project is three years but the BMBF approved an extension and the research work can now be continued until 2020. Project partners of the Innovationlab are, among many other network partners, the Fraunhofer IML and the Technical University of Dortmund with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
