The Fraunhofer IML at the Transport Logistic 2019

Transport Logistic 2019

February 17, 2020

At the “Transport Logistic” in Munich from June 4 to 7, 2019, the working group Cyber Physical Systems and Internet of Things of the department Automation and Embedded Systems presented a low cost and Ultra-Low-Energy level sensor. Last year the sensor was developed at the Rhenus Enterprise Lab at Fraunhofer IML in close cooperation with Rhenus and was tested in initial tests.

Rhenus SE & Co. KG has been cooperating with T-Systems International GmbH since the beginning of this year in order to bundle development results and expertise to successfully place the sensor on the market. With a pilot series of 1000 sensors, various applications and requirements are already being tested and evaluated on a large scale. By the end of the year, Rhenus and Telekom will make the sensor available on the market and deliver it at the beginning of 2020.
