IHMSC 2020 (digital)

August 28, 2020

Due to the restrictions imposed by COVID-19, the 13th IHMSC (International Conference on Intelligent Human-Machine Systems and Cybernetics) was held digitally this year. The two-day conference (August 22nd - 23rd) for intelligent human-machine systems and cybernetics once again provided an opportunity for the exchange of research results, ideas and application experiences between researchers and practitioners.

Michael Folka had the opportunity to present his work »Explorative Study of a Brain-Computer Interface for Order Picking Tasks in Logistics«, which he developed together with Jana Jost and Thomas Kirks. In their paper they created and tested a consumer quality AGV control system, using mental commands through an EEG headset, to evaluate the user experience of a brain-computer interface in a logical scenario.
