The Fraunhofer IML at the IHSI 2019
The second “International Conference on Intelligent Human Systems Integration” (IHSI) took place in San Diego from February 7 to 10, 2019. Topic of this year’s conference was the integration of humans and intelligent systems. Furthermore, the development of the application of artificial cognitive systems and the cooperation between humans and artificial systems was focused. The current knowledge about human-centered design and intelligent systems is used and extended by the support of, for example, intelligent data analysis and cognitive technology.
Thomas Kirks from Fraunhofer IML presented the paper “A Flexible Interaction Module for Adaptive User Control for Autonomous Transport Vehicles” at the conference, which describes a modular extension system for an FTF. The system focuses on the interaction with humans and equips the FTF with additional functions such as gesture recognition.
