Team from the Automation and Embedded Systems department of the Fraunhofer IML at the LogiMAT
Once again, the team from the Automation and Embedded Systems department of the Fraunhofer IML was at LogiMAT. This year's LogiMAT took place from 13.03 to 15.03.2018 in Stuttgart.
At their exhibition booth, the department presented FEMILI and the NB-IoT button.
EMILI is part of a product family that combines "modular container vehicles". Another representative of this family is a low-cost container vehicle, whose vehicle frame is a small load carrier in which the components are installed. Like EMILI, it uses an optical navigation system and features a differential drive.
As part of the EnterpriseLab cooperation "Open IoT Telekom Labs", the Fraunhofer IML and Telekom are jointly researching the application of the Narrowband IoT communication standard. A first proof of concept currently being tested by selected test customers in action is the IoT-service-button.
With the IoT-service-button from T-Systems, the automatic triggering of operations becomes very easy. Whether in the laboratory, on the production line, on the construction site, in the pharmacy, in the car repair shop or in the hospital – wherever someone else should be informed directly, the button can be used. By pressing the button on the device, the recipient immediately receives an SMS or e-mail. Also a direct integration into IT systems is possible.
