From a customer point of view, high-quality, concrete and reliable offers are the foundation for the decision for or against a certain supplier. The quotation is like an application. The principal expects that the quotation is created accurately and in a structured manner. The formulated requirements should be met or outperformed. A good offer is oriented in the first place to the expectations of the issuing company and simultaneously tries to neutralize weaknesses in the tender document of the prospective business partner.
The Fraunhofer IML provides its expertise in outsourcing to logistics service providers and supports providers in the realization of high-quality offers as well as the significant improvement of the acquisition performance. Customer-oriented and standardized bidding processes help to facilitate and accelerate the bidding process for both parties: Important is the close dialogue between the outsourcing parties, in order to clarify gaps or ambiguities in the tender documents. In this way the logistics service provider is able to create an appropriate, well structured and solid calculated offer and is able to send competence signals and differentiate from competitors. A high-quality quotation is the foundation for a good, long-term cooperation.
