The department «Automation and Embedded Systems» designs and realizes solutions in the industrial field. With the participation in research projects we push innovations. Recent developments and technologies acquired in research projects are transfered to business appliance. Industrial research activities act as a bridge to the end user.

Transport Logistic 2017

„Networking – digital and across all boarders“ – was this year's theme at transport logistic 2017 which took place from 9th to 12th of May in Munich. Fraunhofer IML presented itself among many other exhibitors from all around the world at the world's largest exhibition for the transport and logistics sector. The main topic of the fair was the whole range of products and services of the segments rail, road, water and air transport. Furthermore, future-oriented technologies like Automated Guided Vehicles or the utilization of robots and drones were in spotlight.

LogiMAT Stuttgart – 15th International Trade Fair for Distribution, Materials Handling and Information Flow, sets new standards as the biggest annual intralogistics exhibition in Europe.
