The Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML) acts as a logistic consultant for companies of all lines of industry and sizes.
Our teams help them to tackle new tasks and requirements. Together with their clients they optimize the internal and external logistics and develop software and hardware solutions. Fraunhofer IML favours company-specific and tailormade solutions and supports its customers from the planning up to the realisation.
Various products, like palletizing robots, warehouse systems or simulation software, were first developed in Dortmund and are now used worldwide.
